This file is made for people who have never fetched InterNet Newsgroup and also for people who use Marconi for the first time.
• WHAT DO YOU NEED?
For using Marconi you need to know:
1) Your InterNet E_Mail address;
2) The name of your InterNet provider News-Server.
• START WITH MARCONI.
After lunching Marconi Stack you arrive in the "Newsgroups index" card, the first operation we have to do is to SETUP Marconi.
• SETUP MARCONI.
To SETUP Marconi click the first button on the left, named ">>SETUP<<", so you go to the configuration card.
In this card there are the information useful to Marconi for fetch your newsgroups.
The first step is to insert your Real Name into "Your Real Name:" field.
Second you shoul insert your InterNet E_Mail address into "E_Mail Address:" field (this is an important info to do).
Third you should insert the name of News-Server into the "News-Server:" field (this is the most important info).
In the "Configuration Card" there are also the following field:
"Organization:" field allows you to write the organization to which you belong, if you do not belong to an organization you may leave the field blank.
"Your Time Zone:" field show the time zone where you live. You may also leave the field blank.
"Signature:" field no need comment. :-)
• FETCH THE LIST OF ALL NEWSGROUP.
If this is the first time you use Marconi and you have never connected with your News-Server you have to fetch the list of all newsgroup that are present on you News-Server.
If we are in the "Configuration Card" click on the button "Index" you go back to the "Newsgroup Index" card, after this click on the button "List of All Newsgroup" which takes you to the "List of All Newsgroup" card.
In the "List of All Newsgroup" card you can see a field with many newsgroups name (for example: alt.1d or alt.2d) they are the newsgroup present on the News-Server of my InterNet provider.
To fetch THE LIST OF ALL NEWSGROUP from your InterNet provider you have to click the "Fetch List Of All Groups" button, so you fetch the list (ATTENTION you must have connect with you InterNet Provider in SLIP or PPP before doing this).
This operation can take from 5 to 20 minutes, it depends on your modem speed, and on how many newsgroups are present in the News-Server.
• SUBSCRIBE A NEWSGROUP.
After fetching the list of all newsgroups present in your News-Server you should subscribe a newsgroups before fetching its news.
To subscribe a newsgroup you should click on the name of the desired newsgroup present in the List of all Newsgroup.
Subscribed newsgroup are marked in Bold.
• FETCH NEWS.
After subscribing a newsgroups click on the "Index" button to return to the "Newsgroup Index" card. Now you mayu see the name of the subscribed newsgroup in the "Newsgroup Index" List.
To fetch news you should click on the "Check News" button so Marconi will fetch all news of the subscribed Newsgroups.
• IMPORT NEWS
After fetching news and having disconnect from InterNet Provider, we have to Import the News.
To import news you should click on the ">IMPORT NEWS<" button.
After doing this you news is imported on Marconi and you can read them.
• TO READ NEWS
To read news you should click on the name of desired newsgroup in the "Newsgroup Index" field of "Newsgroup Index" card.
• GOOD READING

"REPLY": it takes you to the reply environment where you can write you reply
"CHECK NEWS": this command not only fetch your news but also send you reply (automatically) if there are.
